THE RULES

Tee Time Archery is a new patent pending archery round based on Golf scoring involving risk and reward as archers shoot each hole.  Any archery club/range/event having a field range with a minimum of 30” bales or standard indoor range can use the Tee Time round without any need for additional bales or set up.

Rules for TTA during regular scoring

Outdoor Round

  • Distances will be marked and/or rangefinders allowed.
  • Distances will be set per TTA provided course layouts for varying difficulty.
  • Archers will shoot 1 or 2 arrows per hole at events discretion.
  • Rounds will be 9 or 18 holes with total number of rounds or holes to be played per day determined by event.
  • Archers will randomly pick scorecards to determine shooting order during normal play.
  • Archers will “Call” the scoring dot they intend to shoot before taking their shot via a “Calling cone” with identified sides correlating with dot colors and values. Called side of cone will be placed facing behind the archer for ease of call viewing by spectators/media.
  • If the “Calling cone” is not used for a given league or shoot the default “Called dot” will be PAR. In this circumstance the archer may verbally “Call” the dot they intend to shoot with the scorekeeper for the group.
  • TTA official scorecard must have all “Archers call” boxes completed by scorekeeper before advancing to the target. In the event an archer neglects to set “Calling cone” the scorekeeper shall record previous cone setting as said archer’s dot selection before leaving the shooting area. If a given event or league is using “Verbal dot calls” and the archer neglects to call their dot the scorekeeper will record the default PAR dot as said archers call.
  • Archers can let down and change the “Calling cone” and/or their dot “Call”.
  • “Play it as it lays” rule- If an archer shoots their arrow without “Calling” a dot the archer must score based on what dot the “Calling cone” is set for. If no “Calling cone” is being used the default dot call is Par.
  • During normal play the group shall decide arrow calls. Shooter of arrow in question does not vote.
  • “When in Rome” rule- In the event of an equipment failure, Let downs, time restrictions, pass through/glance out arrows, use of umbrellas or shade-wind aides, spectators, Code of conduct, spotting scopes, shooting classes, Arrow size, speed or poundage restrictions, weather delay protocol, Practice facilities or any other shooting related topics the host event rules govern.
